9 E-Bike Brands Worth Watching: New Shorts from Vittoria, Trek, Brompton & More
Quick video looks at Vittoria, ORTLIEB, Showers Pass, Velotric, Old Man Mountain, Radio Flyer, Bakcou, Brompton and Trek, with notes on what makes each worth knowing.

We just put out nine new short videos, each a quick look at a brand that shows up a lot in conversations with riders. Some build complete e-bikes, some make the gear that makes riding easier: tires, bags, racks, rain gear. As e-bike specialists, we've added a little context on each, so you know why it's on our radar.
1. Vittoria
Tires are where an e-bike meets the road. Vittoria labels a range of its city and touring tires "e-Bike Compliant" (its R-75 rating), meaning they are rated for the extra weight and torque a motor puts through the wheel, so you get tires matched to how an e-bike actually rides. If you've never swapped tires, it's an upgrade worth knowing about.

2. ORTLIEB
Once you start commuting or running errands by e-bike, you need somewhere to put things. ORTLIEB is known for waterproof panniers that clip on and off the rack with its Quick-Lock mounting system, and it even makes an e-bike-specific pannier, the E-Mate. Worth a look if your backpack is leaving your shoulders sweaty.

3. Showers Pass
An e-bike makes it easy to keep riding when the weather turns, but only if you stay dry. Showers Pass is based in Portland, Oregon, and got its start in 1997 with a cycling rain jacket, and their jackets and pants are designed around actually pedaling: venting where you heat up, coverage where the spray hits. A good shell is what turns a fair-weather rider into a year-round one.

4. Velotric
Velotric has carved out a spot as a go-to for riders who want a well-sorted, everyday e-bike without overthinking it. The bikes feel balanced, the controls are intuitive, and the lineup covers commuters, step-throughs, and fat-tire options. If you're shopping your first e-bike, they're a sensible place to start comparing.

5. Old Man Mountain
Racks sound boring until you try to mount one on a bike with thru-axles, disc brakes, or full suspension. Old Man Mountain racks mount at the thru-axle with a Fit Kit, so they work with or without frame eyelets and on suspension bikes, the company says. For e-MTB riders who want to carry gear into the backcountry, it's a clever, sturdy solution.

6. Radio Flyer
Yes, the little red wagon company. Radio Flyer's Flyer line of family cargo e-bikes (Via, Via Pro, Loop) brought its family-first thinking to two wheels. Note: Radio Flyer has told retailers it is winding down its e-bike business while continuing support, parts and warranty service, so check availability before you shop.

7. Bakcou
Bakcou builds fat-tire electric hunting bikes for hunters and backcountry riders: mid-drive motors with serious torque, modular racks for gear, and range for long days far from pavement. If your idea of a ride involves a tree stand or a remote trailhead, they're built with that in mind.

8. Brompton
The Brompton fold is iconic for a reason: it collapses into a package you can carry onto a train or tuck under a desk. The Electric C Line keeps that fold and adds a compact rear hub motor with a removable battery, which suits multi-modal commuters. If storage space or transit is your constraint, it's one to look at closely.

9. Trek
Trek needs little introduction, and their e-bike range spans everything from relaxed city bikes to serious e-MTBs. What you get is a big-brand dealer network and a wide range to choose from. A useful benchmark when you're comparing anything else on this list.

Wrapping up
Nine brands, nine different angles on riding electric, from the bike itself to the bits that keep you dry, carrying, and rolling. Watch whichever catch your eye, and dig into the brand pages when you want the fuller picture. We'll keep adding more as we go.
