Affiliate Disclosure

ElectricBikes.com (the "Site") is published by Electric Bicycle Company LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), as explained in our Terms & Conditions. We are an independent publisher. Every purchase happens on the manufacturer's or retailer's own site. Some of the outbound links on the Site are affiliate or sponsored links, and you pay the same price either way. We also sell clearly labeled advertising.

None of it buys a higher score, a softer review, a better ranking, or a quiet omission of a safety problem. If a product is bad, we say so — affiliate link or not.

Affiliate links. When we link to a retailer or brand, that link is sometimes an affiliate link. You pay the same price you would have paid anyway.

Currently, our active affiliate relationships are with Ride1Up, LeoGuar, 5th Wheel, Velotric, Velowave, MURF Electric Bikes, Magnum Bikes, Retrospec, Heybike, Specialized and Amazon (links to amazon.com or amzn.to are affiliate links, at no extra cost to you). Other outbound links to retailers such as Temu are currently plain, non-affiliate links. If that changes, we will update this disclosure.

Affiliate networks. We are also a publisher on the PartnerBoost affiliate network, whose tracked links are affiliate links. Our current PartnerBoost brand relationships are ECOROAD, CYCROWN, ESKUTE, DYU, PHILODO, WakeWheel, Smartravel, NAVEE, isinwheel, AOTOS, Qualisports, Magicshine, ThinkRider, Evoltrix, CYKE and Anweller. Those links route through app.partnerboost.com before landing on the brand's store, and you pay the same price either way. Most land on the brand's Amazon page, while Smartravel's and Magicshine's buttons open the brand's own shop (smartravelor.com and magicshine.com), where returns, shipping and warranty are the brand's rather than a marketplace's. Two brands have links to more than one retailer: ESKUTE's round-up card opens its Amazon storefront while its partner card opens its brand shop on Walmart, where Walmart's terms apply, and Magicshine also has a text link to its Amazon storefront beside the buttons that open its own shop.

We also participate in the Impact affiliate network (e.g., Velotric). Our current Impact brand relationship is with Velotric: those links route through a pxf.io tracking address before landing on the brand's own store, and again you pay the same price. Where Impact has issued us a per-product link, the button opens that exact model; where it has not, the button opens the brand's own store rather than the model you were reading about.

We also participate in the AvantLink affiliate network. Our current AvantLink brand relationships are with Velowave, MURF Electric Bikes, Magnum Bikes, Retrospec, Heybike and Trek: those links route through an alnk.to or avantlink.com tracking address before landing on the brand's own store, and again you pay the same price. Velowave's buttons open the brand's own store, while MURF's and Magnum's product buttons open the specific model on that brand's store. Heybike's buttons open the matching model on Heybike's store (the Mars 2.0 link now opens the Mars 2.5, which Heybike sells in its place). Trek is reached only through the "Partner" cards on the home page, the e-bike safety statistics page and the bike database: those open Trek's electric-bike category, and every other Trek link on this site — including the links on our Trek bike pages — is a plain, non-affiliate link.

We also participate in the Rakuten Advertising affiliate network. Our current Rakuten brand relationship is with Specialized: those links route through a click.linksynergy.com tracking address before landing on the brand's own site, and again you pay the same price. Where Rakuten has issued us a per-model link, the button opens that exact model; the brand-level button opens Specialized's home page, and a model we cover without an issued link carries no link to Specialized at all.

Advertising and sponsorships. We sell display advertising and sponsored placements. These are always clearly labeled as advertising or sponsored — they are never disguised as independent editorial.

Our current paid-placement partners are Battery Safety Company (including its FYERBX charging cabinets) and Mizer Motor Works. These partners pay for the placement itself, not per sale, so we have no financial stake in the purchase. Their links are tagged rel="sponsored" because they are paid, and the placements are labeled on the page.

What we do not do. Positive reviews, rankings, ratings, and editorial conclusions are not for sale. A brand cannot pay us to score higher, to be called a 'best' pick, or to have a recall, fire, lawsuit, or other safety issue left out. Our editorial independence is not for sale.

We include visible disclosures on pages that carry affiliate or sponsored links, typically above the first such link. In the code, only those links — our affiliate partners and our paid-placement partners — are tagged rel="sponsored". Every other outbound shop or brand link is a plain link, tagged rel="nofollow". Sponsored or paid-partner placements are labeled as such on the page, separate from our independent, scored reviews.

Listings we have not independently tested — including some affiliate-partner products — are presented as showcases, not as scored reviews, and are labeled accordingly.

ElectricBikes.com is an anti-pay-to-play editorial site. Our reviews, scores, comparisons, and 'best of' selections are based on our own testing, research, and judgment — never on whether a brand advertises with us or runs an affiliate program.

We always report known safety actions — such as CPSC recalls, NHTSA investigations, class-action settlements, fire incidents, and major lawsuits — on the pages that discuss an affected product, whether or not its links are affiliate links.

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255, "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising." Our goal is to be clear and upfront about every commercial relationship behind this site so you can weigh our recommendations with full information.
