Safety & licensing notes
Trikes feel rock-solid at a standstill, but three wheels handle differently from two: taking a corner too fast or off-camber can lift a wheel and tip the trike. Slow down for turns, brake in a straight line, and give yourself time to learn the handling before loading up the basket.
Most electric trikes here are Class 1–2 (pedal-assist or throttle, capped around 20 mph), so in most states they're treated like an e-bike and need no special license or registration. Rules vary, and local paths may have their own limits — confirm your state's e-bike laws before you ride.
