Payload claim

Cikada claims a 440 lb maximum payload for the Universal — a compact utility e-bike aimed at school runs, grocery hauls and weekend gear.

Range: 43 vs 62

On range, do not stop at the marketing "up to 62 miles" line. Cikada's own detailed specification table says up to 43 miles on the main battery, and up to 62 miles only with the optional 234 Wh water-bottle extender fitted. The 62-mile claim is the dual-battery figure, not the stock pack alone.

Specs as Cikada lists them

Specs as Cikada lists them: DynaForce 350W mid-drive / 80 Nm; PowerFlow Samsung 21700 36V 706 Wh main battery (6–8 h charge claim) plus optional Samsung 18650 36V 234 Wh bottle pack; Class 2 to 20 mph; Tektro HD-T275 hydraulic discs with 160 mm + 180 mm rotors; Shimano Nexus 8-speed internal hub with Dayco belt; Schwalbe Pick-Up Super Defense 65-406 tires; 60 mm suspension fork; 66 lb product weight; 440 lb max payload; one size for riders 4'11"–5'9"; FocusRide 2.0" TFT stem display with Bluetooth. In the box per Cikada: lights, kickstand, fenders, bell. Colors on the U.S. page when checked 5 Nov 2026: Gray and Army Green, both in stock.

UL claim

Cikada's page shows a UL safety badge for UL 2849 / UL 2271. That is their claim; we did not verify it with UL.

Third-party notes

A public first-ride write-up exists overseas (closed-track impressions only). It carries no measured range or braking numbers, so it is not used as a test source here.
