The XP4 750 is for the same buyer the XP 3.0 owned: anyone who wants a genuinely usable folding e-bike for under a thousand dollars. The difference is that the two compromises that price used to force — a cadence sensor and mechanical discs — are gone.

The 8.7 reflects near-perfect marks on value: a torque sensor, hydraulic brakes, a 1,310W-peak motor and a UL 2849-certified system at $999 is a spec sheet nothing else in the segment matches on paper. It loses ground on weight — 68 lbs is a lot to carry up apartment stairs, folding frame or not — and the headline 85-mile range requires the long-range battery, which costs extra.

Buy it over the discontinued XP 3.0 without hesitation; buy the long-range battery only if your round trip actually exceeds 40 miles.
