The Pace 4 is the upright, sit-and-cruise Aventon: a comfort bike with a commuter's battery.

It earns 8.4 chiefly on comfort and weight. At 58.2 lbs it is meaningfully lighter than the Level bikes, which matters on a bike people buy for casual errands, and a 733Wh pack behind a 500W motor is what produces the credible 70-mile claim. The integrated rear wheel lock is a genuinely useful piece of specification that most brands charge extra for.

It loses points for the rigid fork — comfort here comes from geometry and tyre volume alone — and for being step-through only. Fine on smooth surfaces; less so on broken pavement.
