Bike tracker or AirTag mount
A hidden Find My tracker won't stop a thief, but it can show you and the police where your bike went.

Most bike trackers use Apple's Find My network: an AirTag or Find My-compatible tag, hidden in a saddle-rail mount, under a bottle cage or inside the frame, reports its location through nearby Apple devices. There's no subscription, but these are Bluetooth trackers, not cellular GPS, so updates depend on iPhones passing by. Setup needs an iPhone or iPad.
Hide the tracker where a thief won't spot it, keep its battery fresh, and record your bike's serial number so a recovered bike can be proven yours. A tracker works best alongside a good lock, never instead of one.

Pro tips from the e-bike pros
- Don't advertise the tracker: a visible mount tells a thief where to look.
- Drop a second tag in your pannier or battery bag.
- If your bike is stolen, report it to the police before you try to recover it.
