The most common e-bike brain. If your hub-motor bike has thrown an error or lost power, a matched Bafang controller is usually the fix.
The controller is the part that takes throttle and PAS input, reads the motor's hall sensors, and delivers power from the battery. Bafang controllers run a huge share of factory and conversion bikes, and a failed one is a common cause of dead or erratic power.
Replacement is mostly about matching: voltage, current rating, connector pinout, and motor type. Get those right and it's a plug-and-play repair; get them wrong and nothing works. For conversions, a higher-amp controller is also the cheapest way to unlock more power from an existing motor.
