Coming Soon New Tech Creative Launches

Bubbling Under.

The launchpad for what's about to hit the e-bike world — the tech, the rumored flagships, and the gear we're watching before anyone else.

As builders and safety testers — not influencers chasing launch-day swag — we tell you what's real and what's worth waiting for. No pay-to-play hype, just the honest read.

Why this matters now

Where fire codes are pushing toward fire-rated battery storage

Fire codes are catching up fast. Most of these requirements flow from model codes — the IFC, NFPA 855, and NFPA 1 — that states and cities adopt and enforce locally. Above a certain quantity, or whenever damaged batteries are being repaired or serviced, more and more jurisdictions now expect lithium batteries to be kept in approved fire-rated cabinets or behind a fire barrier. Tap any jurisdiction below for the in-depth rules, what to do about them, and a link to the official source.

Fire codes are adopted at the state level and enforced locally by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (your fire marshal). Exact thresholds, code editions, and effective dates vary by jurisdiction — this is a general guide, not legal advice. Confirm your obligations with your local AHJ. Injured or hit with a battery-fire claim? Our legal partner EBikeSafety.com offers free consultations, and our Safety School covers safe charging and storage.
