ElectricBikes.com take
The Higgs Cargo is MURF's hauler: a low, step-thru longtail with 7 gears instead of a single speed, strong brakes and a 440 lb total limit. It's simple to ride, but at 80 lb it's a lot of bike to store and lift, and passenger setups need MURF's add-on accessories.
Key features, as MURF lists them
- Extended rear rack for passengers and gear
- 440 lb total capacity
- 7-speed gearing
- 4-piston hydraulic brakes
- MURF sells tailor-made cargo accessories
Good for
School runs, groceries, beach gear.
Watch-outs
80 lb claimed (85.4 lb tested by Electric Bike Report); fenders not included (EBR); removing the battery means pulling the saddle and seatpost (EBR).
Pros
- 440 lb capacity
- 7 gears
- 4-piston brakes
- Fat tires handle sand and dirt
- Low step-thru
Cons
- Heavy
- Entry-level drivetrain and grips for the price (EBR)
- Battery removal
- Class 2 only (20 mph)
