The Alpha ST is the speed-and-range pick: a bigger battery and 28 mph pedal assist on full-size 26-inch fat tires, with 4-piston brakes to match. 28 mph is Class 3 territory, so check where you'll ride, and it's still a single-speed at 70 lb.
