The Soltera 3 ADV is the maintenance-free city bike in the range: a Gates carbon belt, a single gear, and 37 lbs.

It earns 8.4 mostly on weight and ownership cost. At 37 lbs it is the lightest e-bike Aventon has built, and a belt drive removes chain wear, oil and most of the routine servicing that puts people off e-bikes entirely. A 70-mile claim from a 367Wh internal battery is credible only because the motor is modest and the bike is light — which is the point.

Single speed is the deciding factor. On flat urban ground it is liberating; on real hills, 40 Nm and one gear is hard work. Be honest about your terrain before buying this one.
