Wired's one universal recommendation for every bike: a small under-seat bag holding everything you need to fix a flat by the roadside — a spare tube (sized for your wheel), two tire levers, a patch kit, and a compact multi-tool. Mount it once and forget it's there until the day it saves your ride.
Sizes run from micro (tube + levers only) to wedge packs big enough for a mini-pump and a CO2 inflator. A BOA dial or single secure strap keeps it from rattling. Note that some e-bikes with a dropper post or a rear rack leave little clearance under the saddle — a smaller bag or a rack-mounted tool roll may fit better.
