E-bikes are heavy, and a single side-stand lets a loaded bike tip over the moment you let go — exactly when you're lifting a child or groceries onto it. A center-mounted double (two-leg) kickstand lifts the rear wheel slightly off the ground and plants two feet wide apart, so the bike stands dead level and stable while you load it. It's the standard fit on cargo and utility bikes for good reason.
Confirm it fits your frame: most mount at the plate just behind the bottom bracket, but some bikes need a rear-mount or a specific bolt pattern, and a few have no mounting boss at all. Match the leg length to your wheel size so the bike sits level, and on very heavy cargo bikes look for a wide-stance alloy stand rated for the load.
